At The Art of Health we believe that primary care is best delivered in the context of a personal relationship between the patient and his or her physician. We provide care for children and adults of all ages, including prenatal care. Our primary goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle in order to keep you well, but we also manage both acute and chronic illnesses. Our comfortable office is conveniently located off of East Blvd next to Freedom Park.

Meet Dr. Searson
Dr. Searson is a board certified Family Physician. A St. Louis native, she moved to Charlotte in 2002 to pursue Family Medicine residency training, and Charlotte quickly became home. After completing residency, she went on to complete a Faculty Development Fellowship at UNC Chapel Hill.

Dr. Searson served as a the Director of Maternal Child Health in the Department of Family Medicine at Carolinas Healthcare System, now Atrium, for over 10 years. In that role, she thoroughly enjoyed caring for a wide variety of patients, whose ages ranged from prenatal to 95 years young, as well as teaching residents the fundamentals of women's health and maternity care. During this time she had the privilege to be present for hundreds of deliveries, and was able to care for many of "her" babies into their teen years. Dr. Searson cherishes the trusting relationships that develop over time, and truly loves getting to know and care for whole families.

Direct Primary Care is an increasingly popular model of care that puts the relationship between the doctor and the patient first, while minimizing cost and restrictions that often burden traditional practices that take insurance. In this model, fees are paid on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, and there are no hidden fees or complex invoices.

While most Family Physicians have a patient panel of 2,500 to 4,000, in the DPC model, physicians usually keep their numbers in the hundreds. This means more relaxed visits without feeling rushed, easier access for appointments and refills, and a doctor who calls you back personally when you have a question.

Our pricing is very transparent and straightforward. One affordable monthly fee, and NO OTHER BILLS! No more copays and no more wondering what you are going to be billed after you leave the office.

ADULTS: $100 per month
​
CHILDREN (under 18): $75 per month
*newborn without family - $100 per month
​
FAMILIES (2 adults + 2 children): $300 per month
*each additional child is $50 per month
Being part of The Art of Medicine practice includes all of the following services:
